Although I am a little sad to see summer go (hang on, what summer) I am SO excited about wearing, and buying all the yummy A/W pieces. This jacket is actually a couple of years old now, but I love it and couldn’t wait for an excuse to wear it. It's time for the layers to come out people :)

Have a lovely weekend x

I don’t know if it is just me, but nearly 2 years after living with Si, we still haven’t got into any routine. But last night I nearly cracked it. Dinner was made (by Si may I add) then we took quick stroll round the village to wind down, then onto a very intense ‘insanity’ work out, a clothes wash was done, the kitchen cleaned, an episode of New Girl was watched. I just didn’t quite have time to finish cleaning the rest of the house. There’s always next time, right?

My picks: winter jackets

3. Mango
5. H&M
6. H&M

Yes, people it’s nearly time to go out and pick your winter jacket (Is anyone as excited as me?) I love this time of year, although I am sad to see summer go, but let’s face it, we didn’t even notice it had come anyway, so roll on a proper excuse to go out and shop. Here are a few of my picks (ATM) I’m heading in the direction of Topshop for my pick I think, how about you?

I’m making the most of the last dribbles of sunshine, as I am certain that after this weekend this poor excuse for summer is going to be over. But I am also looking forward to go winter shopping, for some new boots a coat and plenty of scarves. Us Brits do like to moan, but we really to love the changing seasons. (honest)

Jumper - Next / Trousers - Miss Selfridge / Shoes - Primark / Bag - New Look

I find myself sitting here, only just being able to blog at nearly 9 at night, and it's TUESDAY tomorrow. The days are just flying by over here. I had a lovely weekend celebrating the wedding of a close friend, and this is what I wore to the rehearsal dinner (maybe leopard print wasn't invented for the church, but I beg to differ) it was one of those weekends where one minute I am on one end of the glamour Richter scale. New outfit, freshly blown hair, fake lashes-the works, and the next I’m scrubbing the bathroom with a facemask on, in my sweats. I can't complain though, was a great weekend.

So yer

Happy Wednesday friends. A big hurrah I hear you cry, we are half way through the week already!

I'm off to kick my butt into shape with my third insanity work out session! Even though I am struggling to move today after yesterdays session, so let's see how this one pans out...

10 things

Dress - New Look / Shoes - Primark

Being able to wear a summer dress for the first time since I returned from Australia and NOT taking a jacket out, you know, just in case.
Eating homemade big macs, gossiping and watching baby videos with my little sister (my gosh was I bossy)
Spending an entire morning working my butt off at the gym, and loving it...
...But not loving it the day later. 45 minutes of kettle bells can really do a number on ya.
Being on Auntie and Uncle Duties for a full 24 hours! I take my hat off to all you mummies and daddies out there, it’s pretty full on.
Taking alternative driving routes through the countryside instead of the motorway and wishing that one day we might call ourselves country bumpkins.
Taking the kids to the farm and watching in delight at their amazement at all the animals (or am-inals according to the 2 year old)
Finding the energy to tidy the house top to bottom for our little guests, and wishing we could always keep on top of it.
Having my third allergic reaction of the week, due to handling the kid’s duvet cover, where the cat had previously been sleeping on. It is only just sinking in that I may not be able to stroke a cat again.
Finishing the weekend of with a traditional pub roast with friends (that’s what Sundays are made for, surely?)

How was everyone's weekend then?

bad times

Top - Topshop / Skirt - Primark / Belt - Topshop / Shoes - New Look

Don't let these photos fool you people. There I am without a care in the world, I had just finished my picnic in the car (yup, the car, as it was blowing a slight hurricane gale outside) which was scrummy by the way. We even treated ourselves to a 99 just so we could close our eyes and pretend that we were sitting in our swimming cossies and lapping up the summer sun (this is what it has come to Mr Sun) anyway, only a few hours later I discover that I am in fact allergic to cats. WHAT? How did this happen? I have been around cats my whole life, I even had one for a bit, and suddenly I have the itchy eyes, runny nose and rashes. So help a brother out? How could this happen? One day later and I still look like I’ve been poked in the eye .Damn kitten.

update - I made the mistake of going to my friends house the day after who has FOUR cats, yes four. Silly mistake as I have just spend the last 3 days getting over it. Gunky, red eyes and a constant runny nose is not a good look my friends.

26 June 2012

today is for...

wearing blue jeans

and eating lot's of strawberries

okay, so I have been very rubbish lately with the whole blog thing. I kind of just haven't found the time (okay bad excuse) or the energy to get around to blogging. My minds slightly all over the place about it, but today I found the time to look through some of my favourite blogs and it re-ignited that little flame inside me and brought me back to why I started blogging. To tell my story, to document my days, my feelings and what I was thinking (and wearing) at that particular time. I have always had a passion to be creative, and I am glad I have this little piece of the internet all to myself (and not forgetting you lovely people) to voice everything.

well

that was enough about the blabbing, onto more pressing matters...

firstly, my life has been over taken with my obsession for the programme Revenge. I have totally, legally (fingers crossed under the table) been watching the whole season online, and have become stupidly obsessed with it. (anyone else?)
I still have a mountain of laundry to get through from my holiday. Now if this was Si's pile of laundry I would have gone mad at him on several occasions already, and probably given him the lecture of how the house should always be tidy. but lets say different rules apply to the girls in the house.
I have finally got my butt in gear and started the gym again. Those spin classes are a killer, but hopefully worth it in the end.

and finally to domestic boyfriends. I love you. I'm glad I picked one that could cook :)

19 June 2012

a summer's day

I think it's a bit Australia overload on the old blog, so I thought I would mix it up a bit. That big yellow thing in the sky showed its face on Saturday afternoon down in Brighton, so we jumped in the car, put the wind in our hair and settled at a local beauty spot. We chilled out on the grass, before heading to munch on ice cream. I can't tell you how much I love and appreciate Brighton when the sun shines; I love every part of it.

On the fashion front my whole outfit is from H&M

Mac - Topshop / Tops - both New Look / Necklace - New Look / Wellies - Hunter

How is it only Tuesday? I am in full on holiday mode and these days are getting l-o-n-g-e-r. The wind, the rain, oh don't get me started, I’m fed up. but I see the sun, I do, it's poking out wanting me to go and play. As fun as it is to wear my wellies, I am looking forward to an evening bike ride in the sun {the clouds are disappearing as we speak}

outtakes

The first thing is, how weird is the word 'outtake?' I can't stop looking at it, and it's freaking me out slightly. So I will move on...after having an afternoon session at looking through all my photos I realised I have SO many I have never posted, that never really made the cut. So I thought why not post them all together...

ANYWAY

I have a story to tell. Not a very exciting one, but one none the least. On Friday I decided to get my cards read. Now this isn’t really my thing, but I have always been intrigued. I have heard interesting stories before, so I went for it. My little mind conjured up an image of a middle aged woman, with crazy hair, wearing clashing colours, and even with a suspicious looking mole on her face. My mind even wandered off into the world of Harry Potter...but surprisingly the lady was pretty normal, apart from the stubble on her chin, so I rolled with it.

I was told to pick 3 cards, and she went about her business of making assumptions, with all I answered no. I was giving nothing away; I didn’t want to give her one scrap of information which she could use. She can’t pull a fast one on me. After some jibberish about paperwork and that someone had to be very careful with their work {which I put down to Si being at home working on his Tax return} to later find out he was having a mad moment and pulled out the computer plug in a day dream losing all off his work so far {I did laugh}I also found out that someone near to me is having slight money problems {isn’t everyone}someone close to me is having life problems {again, isn’t everyone} and that I should go with my gut feeling with a decision. WOW. That was worth paying £15 for. So overall I had a bit of a laugh, but my opinion still stands, I don’t really believe in it all.

Go on then, prove me wrong, who has had a good reading???
