fraser island

So back to our adventures down under I give you Fraser Island. The largest sand Island in the world located just off the east coast of Australia. 75 miles long, with over 100 fresh water lakes, crystal clear creeks and stunning rainforest, we were in for a treat.

We joined a group of backpackers for a 3 day, 2 night tag-along tour of the island. I could barely contain my excitement as the only way around the island is by 4x4. It was so much fun. As usual the weather was not on our side at all for the whole trip, which definitley ruined the picture esc views, and definatley didn't help with getting my tan going, but the trip was so amazing, it didn't matter at all.

We cruised along the sand, stopped by lakes, walked through the rainforest, and saw some incredible sites. We camped by night and ate mountains of bbq food for dinner. It was time to get at one with nature, using a shovel for the toilet and washing in the fresh lakes, it was fun to get away from the real world and take on an adventure.
