at the weekend

I’m not sure how it is Tuesday already? The weekend seems like a lifetime ago. But I had a good one. We spent the evening in on Saturday, which was well needed, and watched The Notebook for the millionth time. It is still my favourite film, and of course I cried a little. During the day we met my sister in mum in town, and went to the cinema to watch Taken 2, and despite what the critics think (and I think I am a pretty harsh critic myself) I thought it was quite good. So there, have that critics!
Sunday was spent at Ikea, much to Si’s disgust. Don’t you just love that place? And then onto McDonalds for our 2nd burger of the week (I promise we are not normally this bad)

Until the next one...

out and about

I’ve said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE Brighton in the summer. It was another gorgeous evening so we went for a stroll down the seafront, and had to go onto the pier for the first time this year, for fairground games, donuts and to end the night watching the sunset from the beach.

I do believe I will be seeing you again this evening Mr beach.

home sweet home

Sometimes the best days are when you spend quality time in the city you live in. Being Brighton born and bred I should really be bored of it, but when the sun shines it brings a whole new lease of life to it. So we spent the day indulging in Brighton’s quirkiness and feeling damn proud we could call it home. We strolled through the lanes, ate food a plenty and we even gave the photo-booth a go {even though we were pretty rubbish at it - damn you old school machines} we even brought out our cultured side out and ventured through Brighton museum, although it still really isn't my thang.
Until next time Brighton.

a summer's day

I think it's a bit Australia overload on the old blog, so I thought I would mix it up a bit. That big yellow thing in the sky showed its face on Saturday afternoon down in Brighton, so we jumped in the car, put the wind in our hair and settled at a local beauty spot. We chilled out on the grass, before heading to munch on ice cream. I can't tell you how much I love and appreciate Brighton when the sun shines; I love every part of it.

On the fashion front my whole outfit is from H&M

Fridays are the best, THE BEST I say. Especially when I have taken the day off, Especially when the weather is super duper warm, especially when I get to wear my new summer purchase, especially when Si finishes early and we get to stroll along the seafront, especially when Cider in the sun is involved, and especially that the sun is in my life and Brighton comes to life. Please Mr Sun, please stay a little longer.
