a birthday

DSC01513

Yesterday we celebrated Si's 25th Birthday. I honestly don't know where the time has gone. We started dating the week he turned 18, and a lot has happened since then! but we made it! We are here at the grand old age of 25 (for some reason I really see this age as a big deal, like come on we are 25!!)

ahhh, anyway, we celebrated the day with birthday croissants, special pack lunches, party hats, presents, cake and lots of spicy food. Oh and a few glasses of vino for good measure!

Happy Birthday (for yesterday) my love, I never imagined back then that I would be celebrating this birthday with you, but my god, I am so glad we are. I love you so very much! Until the next one x

Si and I escaped for the weekend into the heart of the New Forest for a spot of camping and exploring. We were so lucky on the weather front, and just about got the last rays of the summer. (Although I don’ think I have ever been so white in my life) We made the most of the weather and spent the day pottering around on the bike, stopping for picnics and obligatory pints at the local pubs. It was honestly one of the best weekends I have had in a long time. I can’t wait till next year...

oh and a little vid

2 July 2012

home sweet home

Sometimes the best days are when you spend quality time in the city you live in. Being Brighton born and bred I should really be bored of it, but when the sun shines it brings a whole new lease of life to it. So we spent the day indulging in Brighton’s quirkiness and feeling damn proud we could call it home. We strolled through the lanes, ate food a plenty and we even gave the photo-booth a go {even though we were pretty rubbish at it - damn you old school machines} we even brought out our cultured side out and ventured through Brighton museum, although it still really isn't my thang.
Until next time Brighton.

this guy

seriously people, this guy really is the best. Every night I always say, 'can you wake me up the morning, so I can come and have breakfast with you' he rolls his eyes, smiles, and says 'of course' Now many people will tell you I am not a morning person, but for some reason when I am tucking myself up into bed, full of energy, I forget this. So when morning comes around and a loud, continuous alarm is going off in my ear, I proceed to shake, shove or shout at Si to turn it off. He has become so nervous of me now, that he is in fact superman when it comes to reaching out and turning off the alarm. The second task is to ask me to come down to breakfast, god help him if he actually attempts to shake me awake. On his head be it, is the saying I think. Yet day after day he still tries to wake me up, hoping one day I will actually emerge and join him for a coffee and a chat. And that's why I love him. Oh, and to top it off, he even makes me my lunch whilst I am snoozing upstairs.

I struck it lucky with this one.

my fave

I am just looking through my photos from the last month, and this is my favourite for a while. It was taken on my birthday, and it instantly brings back memories and feelings. It's a keeper and will probably end up on my wall.

Happy bank holidaying my friends x

big kid at heart

He made me a den. An actual den, with sheets, pillows, duvets and sparkly lights. I think I have been going on about making one, for, I don't know, maybe years, but I never thought he would actually make me one as a surprise. Extra man points for Si this week. I am the ultimate big kid, and playing and chilling in my own private den all evening has made my week. Now if only we could keep it...

*I was so busy that I totally forgot to get my camera out, sorry.
